Frequently Asked Questions

How long is a session?
Each session is approximately 2½ hours. About half an hour is spent in preparation and consulting with your technician. Brain training will take over 2 hours.

How many sessions will I need?
This depends on what your desired outcome is. Your practitioner will recommend a program based on these outcomes at your initial consultation.

Are there age requirements?
Brain Balancing can be effectively done on children as young as 5 years old. There is no upper limit.

Is training permanent?
Yes, training is permanent, if you follow the advice of your practitioner. The brain naturally seeks a balanced stable condition, so once it has been trained, it will not only be more difficult to get out of balance, but also easier to return to balance.

Are there any risks or side effects?
No, the process is completely safe.

Does electricity get fed into my brain?
No, the process is non-invasive -- nothing enters your body or brain. The EEG cables are "read only" and the sound-tones and frequencies of your own brainwaves (bio-feedback) are played back to you via headphones. These balance and harmonize the brain.

Can it interfere with my medications?
Generally, no. (See the next question)

Are there any medications or conditions that are not compatible with brain balancing?
We advise clients taking beta-blockers, such as those used for treating heart-conditions, or other medications to inform their technician before beginning a session. Please continue to follow the advice of your physician.
Please advise your technician if you are prone to seizures.

How do I prepare for my sessions?
Drink plenty of water and eat regular high protein meals before, during and after sessions. Try and refrain from drugs and alcohol for one week prior to, and three weeks after training as these can prevent the development of new neural pathways.
